‘Men get raped and molested,’ should be a whole sentence. If you have to tack on the word ‘too,’ then you’re using the experience of male victims to silence females instead of giving them their own space.

Not sure if I’ve reblogged this before but it always bears repeating.

If the only time you talk about male rape survivors is when you are interrupting women and non-binary people talking about sexual assault statistics and their own experiences, don’t pretend you give a shit about male rape survivors.

Decolonizing the Reproductive Justice Movement
This week for Summer School: SCOTUS, Abortion, and Reproductive Justice. Following this week, a series on re-conceptualizing reproductive justice begins (much like with efforts to decolonize the anti-violence movement). We hope to have broader conversations about reproductive rights and where the movement intersects with anti-violence, and what it means to re-center our work.

rosalind franklin discovered the double helix in dna but her research was stolen by two men before she could properly share the information and now watson and crick are famous for what she spent years studying

Plus she developed ovarian cancer that was most likely caused by radiation from the HUNDREDS of hours spent using x ray crystallography to ascertain the structure. She literally worked herself to death to be a footnote in most genetics textbooks.

My family seems to have forgotten that they’re not in high school anymore. I swear, since a chunk of my cousins started high school my mom and aunt have been super annoying. I legit can’t hang out with then anymore. It’s official. Like, I have nothing to add to conversations about dance and softball moms. It’s like they miss their adolescence so much that they don’t even parent. Case in point: my cousin was a “dick in a box” and my sisters/cousins white girl racism is beyond sketch. But to their fiends and parents, they’re a hoot. They’re normal. They’re hip.

It’s gross. Good thing I don’t plan on going home til November.
